Daily Routine

The first day can be a big step for both young children and their parents which is why we always organise at least one visit before a child starts Polam Oaks Nursery.  Your child's happiness is of paramount importance to us.  We delight in watching their confidence grow and value the opportunity to share and develop their various skills. 

Teachers promote active learning by supporting children in developing their independence and encouraging them to make choices and take risks within a happy & secure environment.  Children take part in Music, French and P.E. sessions, with Specialist teachers adapted to the needs of their age group.  They also enjoy weekly swimming lessons in the term after their third birthday. 

A two course lunch freshly cooked by the school chef offers the children an opportunity to enjoy a social occasion whilst developing an early understanding of healthy eating.

The Early Years Foundation Stage is based on six key areas with specific Early Learning Goals:
